Motor Vehicle Registration Renewals

The Department of Revenue (DOR) was recently notified by the vehicle registration renewal print vendor that they would not be able to fulfill the mailing of renewal notices to Georgia residents. This notification impacted the Department of Revenue as the supplier of the data, citizens of Georgia and local County Tax Commissioners who send out these courtesy mailings.

Department of Revenue Releases DRIVES Request for Proposal

The Georgia Department of Administrative Services, on behalf of the Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) and the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS), released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a new Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System (DRIVES) on Friday, October 30th.  This proposal will encompass an integrated system that will provide a Title and Registration System for the Motor Vehicles Division of the Georgia Department of Revenue and a Driver’s License System for the Georgia Department of Driver Services.

Deal: October tax revenues up 0.3 percent

On November 9, 2015, Gov. Nathan Deal announced that Georgia’s net tax collections for October totaled nearly $1.63 billion, an increase of $4.6 million, or 0.3 percent, over October 2014.

GBI: Commercial Gambling Search Warrants across Georgia

Macon, GA. – On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, the GBI’s Commercial Gambling Unit, along with local law enforcement agencies across the State, and in cooperation with the Georgia Lottery Corporation and the Georgia Department of Revenue executed sixteen (16) search warrants in Troup, Houston, Bibb, Chatham, Terrell, and Henry Counties for violations of Georgia’s commercial gambling laws.

Revenue Awarded Top Honors for Exadata Project

October Registration Renewal Notices Delayed

September 30, 2015

Due to operational and production related issues with one of the Department of Revenue's vendors, October renewal mailings have been severely delayed. The October renewal mailings should be received by motor vehicle owners by the first of October.
