Scheduled Closings Announced; Customers Urged to Plan Ahead

The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) and the Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) will soon complete a technology upgrade called DRIVES -- Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System.  This multi-year upgrade modernizes the current DDS Driver’s License system and the DOR Tag & Title system.  The new system will offer more self-service options, improve customer service, and enhance data integrity.

Kemp: November Net Tax Revenues Up 8.3%

The State of Georgia’s net tax collections in November totaled nearly $1.96 billion, for an increase of $150.9 million, or 8.3 percent, compared to November 2019 when net tax collections approached $1.81 billion.  Year-to-date, net tax revenue collections totaled $10.17 billion, for an increase of $551.1 million, or 5.7 percent, compared to FY 2020.

Kemp: October Net Tax Revenues Up 1.8%

The State of Georgia’s net tax collections in October totaled nearly $2.02 billion, for an increase of $35.2 million, or 1.8 percent, compared to last year when net tax collections totaled $1.98 billion.  Year-to-date, net tax revenue collections totaled $8.21 billion, for an increase of $400.2 million, or 5.1 percent, compared to October FY 2020.

Kemp: September Net Tax Revenues Down 3.6%

Gov. Brian Kemp announced today that Georgia’s September net tax collections totaled roughly $2.16 billion, for a decrease of $81.3 million, or -3.6 percent, compared to September 2019, when net tax collections approached $2.25 billion for the month.  Year-to-date, net tax revenue collections totaled nearly $6.20 billion during the first quarter, for an increase of $365 million, or 6.3 percent, compared to the same period last year (FY 2020).

Currently, Georgia’s census self-response rate of 61.2% is lagging behind many states as well as the national average. Participating in the census is required by law, and it is key to Georgia’s future because response rates determine how billions of dollars in federal funding are directed to states for education, infrastructure, public health, and related areas.

Kemp: August Net Tax Revenues Up 7.7%

Gov. Brian Kemp announced today that Georgia’s August net tax collections totaled nearly $1.89 billion, for an increase of $134.5 million, or 7.7 percent, compared to August 2019, when net tax collections totaled roughly $1.75 billion. 

Kemp: FY 2020 Final Revenues Down -0.4%; New FY 2021 July Net Collections Up 17%

The State of Georgia’s net tax collections for July 2020, inclusive of both the recurring monthly tax collections for July and FY 2020 related tax collections delayed by the deferral of the April 15 tax filing deadline to July 15, totaled approximately $3.10 billion

June Tax Revenues Down 8.8%

As of June 30, 2020, the State of Georgia’s June net tax collections approached $1.94 billion, for a decrease of $187 million, or -8.8 percent, compared to June 2019 when net tax collections totaled roughly $2.12 billion. Net tax collections for FY 2020 currently total almost $22.75 billion, which reflects a decrease of roughly $1.04 billion, or -4.4 percent, compared to fiscal year-ending June 30, 2019 when net tax revenues totaled more than $23.79 billion.
