Department of Revenue to Waive IRP/IFTA Requirements Due to Hurricanes

The Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Revenue, pursuant to the powers granted by law, is temporarily suspending the requirements associated with the Georgia International Registration Plan (IRP) and the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) trip and fuel permits for vehicles providing direct assistance with hurricane relief efforts.

Deal: August tax revenues down -0.2 percent

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Georgia’s net tax collections for August totaled nearly $1.69 billion, for a decrease of $4 million, or -0.2 percent, compared to August 2016. Year-to-date, net tax revenue collections totaled almost $3.41 billion, for an overall increase of $109.5 million, or 3.3 percent, over last year when net tax revenues totaled $1.69 billion.
