Department of Revenue Announces Additions to Leadership Team

State Revenue Commissioner Robyn A. Crittenden has announced two additions to the leadership team of the Georgia Department of Revenue.

Frances Watson will serve as the Assistant Deputy Commissioner for External Operations.

Ananias Williams III will serve as the Chief Information Officer.

Department of Revenue to Begin Processing Individual Income Tax Returns on February 1, 2022

The Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) will begin processing individual income tax returns on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. The deadline to file 2021 individual income tax returns, without an extension, is Monday, April 18, 2022.

December Net Tax Revenues Up 24.3%

The State of Georgia’s net tax collections in December totaled $2.98 billion, for an increase of $582.9 million, or 24.3 percent, compared to December 2020 when net tax collections totaled $2.40 billion.

DOR Prepares for Alcohol Licensure System Upgrade

The Department of Revenue’s new centralized alcohol application process is designated for retail alcohol initial registrations and renewal licensing. With this new system, all local and state retail alcohol applications will uniformly be submitted through the Georgia Tax Center.

New Location for Athens Regional Office

Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) and Department of Revenue (DOR) Prepare for System Upgrade - Customers Urged to Plan Ahead

During this system upgrade, the DRIVES (Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System), including DDS Online Services and DRIVES e-Services, will be unavailable beginning Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 7:00 pm through Monday, January 3, 2022.

November Net Tax Revenues Up 17%

The State of Georgia’s net tax collections in November totaled $2.29 billion, for an increase of $332.7 million, or 17 percent, compared to November 2020, when net tax collections totaled $1.96 billion.  Year-to-date, net tax revenue collections totaled $11.87 billion, for an increase of nearly $1.70 billion, or 16.7 percent, over FY 2021.

October Net Tax Revenues Up 22.9%

The State of Georgia’s net tax collections in October approached $2.48 billion, for an increase of $460.7 million, or 22.9 percent, compared to October 2020, when net tax collections totaled roughly $2.02 billion.  Year-to-date, net tax revenue collections totaled nearly $9.58 billion, for an increase of $1.36 billion, or 16.6 percent, over FY 2021.

State Revenue Commissioner, Robyn A. Crittenden, was named to the Atlanta Business League's list of Top 100 Women of Influence for 2021 during the Women of Vision Breakfast.

September Net Tax Revenues Up 30.3%

Gov. Brian Kemp announced today that Georgia’s September net tax collections totaled nearly $2.82 billion, for an increase of $655 million, or 30.3 percent, compared to last year when net tax collections totaled $2.16 billion. Year-to-date and through the end of one quarter, net tax revenue collections totaled $7.10 billion, for an increase of $903.7 million, or 14.6 percent, compared to FY 2021.
