Confidentiality and Privacy

The Georgia Department of Revenue values the privacy of taxpayers and is required by law to keep certain information confidential except for limited exceptions. This includes varying levels of protection and disclosure rules for tax information, motor vehicle title and registration information, and other sensitive personal information.
