Pay Insurance Penalties & Fines
In Georgia, motor vehicle owners and lessees are required by law to maintain continuous Georgia Automobile Liability Insurance coverage on vehicles with active registration.
Driving a vehicle while the registration is suspended, revoked, or cancelled is a criminal offense. Additional penalties will apply if convicted of driving a vehicle with a suspended or cancelled registration.
Paying Fines & Penalties Online
You will need:
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate number
- Driver’s license number or Letter ID (found on your Pending Suspension/Suspension of Vehicle Registration letter)
Note: Payment of insurance penalties and fines may not result in the reinstatement of a suspended vehicle registration pursuant to the Department of Revenue guidelines.
You can also pay insurance fines at a Kiosk (in participating counties) or your local County Tag Office.
