Pay Insurance Fines Online

Motor vehicle owners and lessees are required by law to maintain continuous Georgia liability insurance coverage on vehicles with active registrations. Driving a vehicle while the registration is suspended, revoked, or cancelled is a criminal offense. Additional penalties will apply, if convicted of driving a vehicle with a suspended or cancelled registration.

Insurance fines can be paid online using DRIVES e-Services

You will need:

  • License plate number or VIN number
  • Driver’s License number or Letter ID (Letter IDs may be found on any letter sent to you regarding your vehicle.)

Did you know?  You can also pay your Insurance Penalties/Fines at any MVD Self-Service Kiosk.

Payment of Insurance Penalties and Fines may not reinstate a suspended vehicle registration pursuant to the Department of Revenue guidelines for reinstatement.

Contact your local County Tag Office if you have questions concerning your vehicle registration.

Note: Payment transactions must be completed before midnight Eastern Standard Time of the due date to avoid late penalty fee.  Although your payment confirmation will reflect Pacific Time, your payment will be calculated using the Eastern Standard Time, date and time of your completed transaction.
