We Do More Than Just Taxes!

In addition to the collection of revenue or taxes, the Department performs a wide range of tasks including the regulation and enforcement of alcohol and tobacco statutes, taxation of interstate trucking, administration of motor vehicle license plates and titles, review of county property tax digests, implementation of the unclaimed property program, and development of tax forms, instructions, and procedures.

As a Tax Examiner, you’ll assist individuals and businesses by phone, email, and in person with tax returns, refunds, registrations, and licensing across divisions like Taxpayer Services, Motor Vehicle, and Alcohol & Tobacco.

  • Based in metro Atlanta with hybrid work options subject to division assignment
  • Entry-level requires a high school diploma/GED + 1 year of related experience, or an associate degree in accounting or related area
