DOR to Reopen Applications for Rural Hospital Credit November 15, 2018
In accordance with House Bill 769 and the corresponding Department of Revenue regulations, the Department of Revenue will reopen applications for the Qualified Rural Hospital Organization (RHO) Expense Tax Credit on November 15, 2018. The Department has the authority to reopen applications when it has been determined the aggregate dollar amount donated does not meet the preapproval cap.
Applications will reopen at 8:00am on November 15, 2018 and will be accepted until the remaining preapproval cap has been met. All taxpayers seeking preapproval must submit a new application, as no applications were held from the prior preapproval period. Applicants who either did not donate up to their prior preapproved amount or submitted an application after the cap was met in July must submit a new application. As before, applications are preapproved on a first-come, first-served basis. All RHO Tax Credit Applications must be submitted and will be preapproved by the Department through the Department’s Georgia Tax Center (GTC). The date and time the preapproval form is submitted on GTC is used to determine the first-come, first-served basis.
