License registration, renewal, search and many other services are available online.

  • All required documentation must be scanned and saved as individual PDF files. You will upload them to the Georgia Tax Center during the application process
  • Know the Alcohol License Number
  • Know your payment option: Credit Card or ACH debit
  • You must renew both STATE and LOCAL Retail Alcohol Licenses

Required Documents and Forms

  • Citizenship Affidavit must be completed and notarized. A copy of the front and back of the secure and verifiable documentation as indicated on the form must be attached. 

Renew Retail Alcohol License Online

  • Retail STATE Alcohol License
    1. Log into Georgia Tax Center.
    2. Locate the applicable license and select "See More."
    3. Under the Renewal header, select the “File State Renewal” link.
    4. Locate the applicable period for the upcoming year and select the “File State Renewal” link.
    5. Verify the business information and select next.
    6. Answer the question regarding arrests in the previous 12 months and select next.
    7. Attach supporting documents if applicable and select next.
    8. Verify summary information and select “Submit.”
    9. Answer “Ok” if ready to submit.
    10. Confirmation number will be displayed for the renewal submission.
    11. From the confirmation page, click “Make a Payment.”
    12. Make a payment through ACH Debit or Credit Card.
    13. Confirmation number is provided for the payment.

    Note: For Beer and/or Wine licenses only - An alcohol type can be added or removed by selecting or deselecting the option at the beginning of the renewal request. You will need to attach an updated local license for this change. 

  • Retail LOCAL Alcohol License
    1. Log into Georgia Tax Center.
    2. Locate the applicable license and select "See More."
    3. Under the Renewal header, select the “File Local Renewal” link.
    4. Verify the local jurisdiction that is prepopulated in the jurisdiction screen is the jurisdiction that issued your license. If not, select the correct jurisdiction
    5. If applicable, answer the questions requested by your local jurisdiction. Select “Next” to continue to the next screen.
    6. Locate and find your applicable license Renewal Fees. Payment options include in person, online, or both, as decided by your local jurisdiction. If payment information is not available, please contact your local jurisdiction for detailed payment instructions.
    7. If applicable, attach documentation required by the local jurisdiction. A list of required documents is available at the top of the page.
    8. Select the “Submit” button
    9. Once you have submitted the renewal application, you will receive a confirmation page to print for your records. Once your local jurisdiction has approved your application, you will receive an approval confirmation at the email address registered to your GTC account.
