Lorraine Hoffmann-Polk

General Counsel

Lorraine Hoffmann-Polk has served as General Counsel since April 2023, leading the Department’s legal strategy and overseeing litigation, contracts, and regulatory matters across all divisions. She joined DOR in 2019, and has served as both an Administrative Hearing Officer and Deputy General Counsel before her current role.

Lorraine has extensive experience working with state and federal agencies and brings a proven record of public service to her role. At the state level, she has served as General Counsel for the Council of Superior Court Judges and Appellate Division Director for the State Board of Workers’ Compensation. At the federal level, she has served with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Federal Labor Relations Authority, and the National Labor Relations Board.

Lorraine earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law.
