As Human Resources Director, she provides strategic leadership for the Human Resources Division, overseeing operations, workforce strategy, talent acquisition, employee relations, training and organizational development, and policy administration while ensuring compliance with employment laws and supporting the Department's mission.

Prior to joining the Department of Revenue, she served in Human Resources leadership roles with DeKalb County Government, the City of Villa Rica, the City of Orange, New Jersey, Atlanta Technical College, and other public-sector and nonprofit organizations.

Lena earned a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She also holds an HR Management and Analytics Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
