Corporate Tax Refunds
Does your corporation need to claim a refund for estimated taxes? Was there an overpayment? You may request a refund if a:
- Refund was not claimed on the original corporate income tax return
- Corporation realizes it overpaid estimated tax before the corporate income tax return is due
- Corporation fails to request a refund on an original corporate income tax return
In general, Form IT-550 should only be used to claim a refund for estimated taxes that were not claimed on the original corporate income tax return. Please mail to the address listed on the form.
Additional Corporate Refund Information
- A refund can be requested for accounts (Corporate) that are under audit, but until the audit has closed the refund may not be issued
