Setup GTC Two-Factor Authentication

Georgia Tax Center (GTC) now supports two step verification through Authentication Apps. Any authentication app can be used, popular applications include Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator.

Setting Up Authenticator for Existing Accounts

  1. Login to your GTC account and select Manage My Profile
  2. On the Manage My Profile screen, select Profile from the status bar
  3. Under Security, select Change Two-Step Settings
  4. Select Authenticator App Set Up
  5. Once the QR code is displayed, open your desired authentication app and follow the apps instructions for adding the QR code. Once the code is added, you can use this method when signing into GTC. 

After creating your web logon, you will be prompted to set up two-step verification the first time you log on.
