Notice of Change in Filing Status/Frequency (Letter)

This letter is informing you that your account filing status or frequency (e.g. how often you file) is changing.

Your Letter Explained

  • Identifies the account number affected by this change. 
  • Explains specifically why this change is happening. Filing frequency is based on the total tax liability of all returns filed during a specific period of time. Your letter will identify this time frame.
  • Provides an effective date for the change. Failure to file returns using your new due dates may result in penalties and interest. 
  • Make sure the person responsible for filing is aware of the change.
  • If you are required to file and pay electronically, submit payments and returns via the Georgia Tax CenterOtherwise, continue using your current filing and payment method with the new due dates provided in the letter.
