Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
IRS-certified volunteers are offering free tax preparation to qualifying taxpayers through the VITA program.
- Make $54,000 or less
- Persons with disabilities
- Limited English speaking taxpayers
Find a VITA Location or call 800-906-9887. Locations are generally at community and neighborhood centers, libraries, schools, shopping malls and other convenient spots all over the country.

Free File Alliance
The Georgia Department of Revenue works with several software vendors to offer free electronic filing services.
Qualifying taxpayers can prepare Georgia individual income tax returns electronically using approved software for less or free of charge. Some of the software listed may charge a fee for electronic preparation/filing of your Federal return.
