Login and Password Help for the Georgia Tax Center

The Georgia Tax Center is a secure portal for filing and paying taxes. Because GTC contains private information, usernames and passwords are required to login.

Occasionally, you may forget the login username/email assigned to the account. For security reasons, you may have to speak to a Call Center Representative to reset your password or username.

Try this before you call

  • Reset Password
    1. Go to the Georgia Tax Center
    2. Click on Forgot username or password?
    3. Enter your Username (case sensitive) and click Submit
    4. You will receive an email (from “No Reply”) with instructions to reset the password. Click on the link provided in the email (Note: The link in this email is only valid for 60 minutes)
    5. Answer the secret question
    6. Enter a new password and re-enter to confirm
    7. Click OK to return to the GTC homepage

  • Problem with the Authentication Code Text/Email

I did not receive my authentication code text/email:

    • Authentication code emails may take up to 15 minutes to arrive
    • Check your junk or spam folders
    • Request to receive an authentication code via both text and email

I received my authentication code, but it is not working:

    • AT&T customers: the authentication code may have too many digits, try deleting the last number of the code
  • How do I setup Two-Factor Verification for GTC?

Georgia Tax Center (GTC) now supports two-step verification through Authentication Apps. Here are some step-by-step instructions for using GTC Two-Factor Authentication.

Next Steps

If you are unable to successfully recover or reset your password, please speak with a Call Center Representative at 877-423-6711 to verify your identity and re-establish access to the account.
