Annual and Statistical Report
The Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR or Department) collects taxes and applicable fees from individual taxpayers and taxpaying entities across the state. The Department oversees the application and enforcement of Georgia’s tax laws. The DOR prides itself on treating all taxpayers fairly, equitably, and in a manner that honors their contribution to the operation of the state of Georgia.
In addition to the collection of revenue, the Department performs a wide range of tasks including the regulation and enforcement of alcohol and tobacco statutes, taxation of interstate trucking, administration of motor vehicle license plates and titles, review of county property tax digests, implementation of the unclaimed property program, and development of tax forms, instructions, and procedures.
