  • How long does it take for a claim to be processed?

    Most claims are paid within 30 days of the claim being received. However, the process may take up to 90 days. 

  • What is the status of my claim?

    You can check your claim status online on the Georgia Department of Revenue website.

  • Can my claim be paid electronically?

    No, claims cannot be paid electronically.  A paper check will be mailed to the address the claimant registered when they filed their claim.

  • I received notification I have Unclaimed Property but do not see it on the website.

    Please provide the name of the owner, the name of the holder reporting the property, and the amount. 

  • I lost or never received my check. How do I request a reissue of my payment?

    Please email [email protected].

    Provide the payee, claim number, check amount, phone number and email address. 

  • Where do I find my claim form?

    If you create your claim online, you will have the option to download your claim form and a copy will also be e-mailed to you.

    If you contacted the UCP call center for assistance with creating a claim you can request the form be sent to you by mail or e-mail.
