Registration and Licensing

The Georgia Department of Revenue is required to verify the citizenship of anyone registering for or renewing Public Benefits with the Department. Public Benefits include licenses, permits, and/or tags for Alcohol, Tobacco, Coin Operated Amusement Machines, Motor Vehicle Dealers/Distributors, and Motor Fuel Distributors. A Citizenship Affidavit and a front and back copy of a Secure and Verifiable Document must be provided when registering for or renewing any of the identified Public Benefits. Public Benefits FAQs.
