Non-Recovered, Stolen Vehicle with Title Application in Insurance Company's Name

Titles can be applied for in insurance company’s name for any stolen vehicle currently titled in Georgia, by mail to:

The following information is required:

• Completed and signed Form MV-1 Title/Tag Application.
• Original valid title issued in the insured’s name(s) properly assigned to the insurance company with all recorded liens or security interests released in the spaces provided on the title.
• Signed letterhead request from the insurance company requesting a stolen un-recovered vehicle title. This letter must be signed by the insurance company’s authorized agent and must include:
  • When and where the vehicle was stolen
  • A complete description of the vehicle including year model, make of vehicle, and vehicle identification number (VIN) 
• $18 title fee.
