Schedule certain payments for a future date
- Estimated: up to 1 year in advance.
- Account: up to 30 calendar days in advance (from the date you are making the payment).
- Amended Return: up to 30 calendar days in advance (from the date you are making the payment).
- Assessment: up to 30 calendar days in advance (from the date you are making the payment).
- Extension: from the original due date to the extension due date.
- Return: up to 30 days in advance from the date, you are making the payment, when the due date has already passed.

Tax Payment Types and Application
Account Payment - Applies to the oldest tax, penalty, and interest first. You cannot direct this payment to a specific period.
Amended Payment - Used when you have filed an amended (or second) return with an amount due.
Assessment Payment - Used to pay a liability on a specific period if you have received a Proposed or Official Assessment.
Estimated Payment - Quarterly estimated income tax payments on an anticipated liability.
Extension Payment - Annual income tax return payment when you are filing your return later.
Return Payment - Used to pay the amount due for a specific period, at the time you file an original return.
