Individual Income Tax Deadline Extended
The state of Georgia is automatically extending the 2020 individual income tax filing and payment deadline from April 15, 2021 to May 17, 2021, without penalties or interest.

Apply for a Refund for License Plate Fees Paid in Error
Refunds are allowed only for:
- Erroneously purchased a license plate or decal for a vehicle you no longer own submit the following to your County Tag Office:
- License plate/decal issued in error
- License plate receipt (registration)
- Signed affidavit from person requesting refund – including to whom sold and the date sold.
- Two license plates issued for the same vehicle in the same owner’s name, submit the following to your County Tag Office:
- First license plate/decal issued
- Original license plate receipt (registration) that is being returned
- Photocopy of license plate receipt (registration) for license plate being retained
- Improperly issued commercial license plate calculated in error by MVD or County Tag Office, submit the following to your County Tag Office:
- Improperly rated license plate
- Original owners license plate receipt (registration)
