Installment Payments
Effective October 1, 2006, approval of an installment payment agreement request will require automatic debit from your bank account. To request an installment payment agreement, please visit the Georgia Tax Center website. If you need additional assistance, you may contact the Department at 404-417-6605.
Interest and late payment penalties will apply to any amount not paid by the due date of the return, even if your request to make installment payments is approved. To minimize interest and penalty charges, you are encouraged to pay as much of the tax as possible by April 15.
Note: The Georgia Department of Revenue accepts credit card payments for liabilities presented to taxpayers via Department issued assessment notices, current year individual income tax due on original Forms 500, 500EZ, 500ES, and corporate income tax due on original Forms 600 and 602ES. An installment payment can be made with a credit card by using the Notice Number indicated on the latest assessment notice received.
