David M. Curry, State Revenue Commissioner

David comes to the Department of Revenue most recently from serving as the Henry County Tax Commissioner where he was first elected in 2008. He is the first ever tax commissioner appointed to the office of State Revenue Commissioner. Commissioner Curry is involved in many organizations, including the Constitutional Officers Association Georgia, Georgia Association of Tax Officials, and Tax Commissioners' Technology Development Council of Georgia. More»

Scott Graham, Deputy State Revenue Commissioner

Scott has been with the Department of Revenue since 2015. He previously oversaw Information Technology, Local Government Services, Alcohol and Tobacco, Motor Vehicles, and the Office of the Commissioner. In his new role, Scott will oversee all internal operations of the Department and will maintain oversight of the Motor Vehicle division. More»

Jessica Simmons, Deputy Commissioner

Jessica comes to the Department of Revenue from the Secretary of State’s Office where she most recently served as Chief of Staff. She began her career in public service in the Secretary of State’s Office, and after working in Washington, D.C., Jessica rejoined the Office as the Assistant Director of the Georgia Elections Division in 2015. More»

Staci Guest, Chief Tax Officer

Staci joined the Department of Revenue as Director of the newly-created Office of Special Investigations in February 2005.  Under her leadership as Director, the Department has become a benchmark for fraud detection and prevention, having implemented the most advanced computerized fraud detection program in the nation.  Moreover, she has earned an outstanding reputation with her own DOR family as a collaborative problem-solver who is eager to hear from others to discern the best solution for all.  More»

Ken Nash, Chief Financial Officer

Ken came to the Department of Revenue in February 2015 as Finance Director before becoming the Chief Financial Officer.  Since 1994, Ken has held various financial management positions among five state agencies including not only the Department of Revenue, but also the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Department of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, and the Georgia Technology Authority. Frank O'Connell, Director of Legal Affairs & Tax Policy

Frank began his service with the State of Georgia in the Compliance Division and transferred to LATP as Assistant Director.  His knowledge and experience with Tax Law uniquely qualifies him for this current position as Director. As the Director for the Office of Legal Affairs & Tax Policy he is responsible for overseeing the administrative hearings for tax protests, drafting letter rulings, promulgating tax regulations, drafting the yearly legislative tax package for the Department, and providing taxpayer as well as internal educational seminars. Mr. O’Connell directs the policy interpretations for: Alcohol and Tobacco, Income Tax, Local Government Services, Motor Fuel, Motor Vehicle, and Sales and Use Tax. More»

Tom McMurry, CIO - Information Technology

Tom comes to the Department of Revenue from the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC), where he served as their Chief Information Officer.  At GDC, Tom was responsible for all aspects of technology including application development, project management, business analysis, application testing, network and server operations.  While at GDC, Tom led the agency through a GETS server consolidation and application re-engineer with minimal disruption of service.  During his tenure at GDC, he also led the agency through several significant IT security enhancements.  More»
