Motor Fuel Registration
Before You Begin
The applicant must:
- Have or have applied for a Georgia Sales & Use Tax Number
- Have a Federal Identification Number (FEIN)
- Provide Secure and Verifiable Documents (front and back of document). Read more about Secure and Verifiable Documents
- Have an Officer’s Social Security number
- Provide a continuous valid Motor Fuel Bond, completed by a Surety Company
- The Motor Fuel Bond is calculated as three times the average monthly motor fuel taxes due during the preceding twelve months. In no case shall the bond be in an amount less than $1,000.
- Pay a $10 application fee. This fee is paid online in the Georgia Tax Center.
