International Registration Plan (IRP)

Title Applications can be applied for at the County Tag Office where the business is located.  IRP (International Registration Plan) and IFTA (International Fuel Tax Association) registrations can be done online through the Georgia Trucking Portal.

The International Registration Plan (IRP) is a reciprocity agreement between member states and jurisdictions for registering vehicles that must travel in 2 or more states/jurisdictions. A jurisdiction may be a state or Canadian province. The base member state issues one apportioned license plate and cab card for each vehicle.

General information on IRP, IFTA, UCR, Permits, and FAQs can be found on the Georgia Trucking Portal including expiration months of IRP registrations.

Commercial Registration questions can be emailed to commercial.registration@dor.ga.gov.
